Add SoloTube to your home screen

SoloTube is a Progressive Web App — no App Store needed. Install it directly from your browser and it opens like a native app, full-screen, no address bar.

01
Open in Chrome
Navigate to solotube.xyz/app in Chrome on your Android device. Chrome is required — the install prompt won't appear in other browsers.
02
Look for the install banner
Chrome may show an "Add SoloTube to Home screen" banner at the bottom automatically. Tap it and skip to step 4. If you don't see it, continue to step 3.
03
Open the browser menu
Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome. Select "Add to Home screen" or "Install app" from the dropdown.
04
Confirm the install
A dialog will appear with the SoloTube name and icon. Tap "Install" (or "Add") to confirm. The app will be added to your home screen immediately.
05
Open from your home screen
Find the SoloTube icon on your home screen or app drawer. It opens full-screen with no browser chrome — just the app.
Note: The install option only appears once Chrome detects you've visited the site a couple of times, or after a short delay. If you don't see "Install app" in the menu, reload the page and try again after a few seconds.
01
Open in Safari
Navigate to solotube.xyz/app in Safari on your iPhone or iPad. This must be Safari — Chrome and other browsers on iOS do not support home screen installation.
02
Tap the Share button
Tap the Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up) in the center of the bottom toolbar. On iPad it's in the top toolbar.
03
Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll through the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen". If you don't see it, scroll the second row of icons all the way to the right and tap "More".
04
Name it and tap Add
A preview screen shows the icon and name "SoloTube." Tap "Add" in the top-right corner to confirm.
05
Open from your home screen
The SoloTube icon is now on your home screen. Tap it to open full-screen — no address bar, no tabs.
Note: On iOS, the app runs in a separate browser context from Safari. Signing in is handled per-session — you may need to log in once after installing.
